Inspired by the iconic depiction of the Raleigh skyline, Kirsten uses recycled magazines and acrylic paint to create an abstract yet fine-detailed version with her unique style. If you have ever had the opportunity to live in the Triangle area, you may have experienced this exact view and the energy that one feels as one enters downtown Raleigh. We often forget how beautiful the architectural jungle can be as we bustle to our job and from task to task. This painting gives the viewer an opportunity to pause and reflect on the contrast between building materials, commercial versus nature, and how it melts together to create our urban areas.
